TL;DR
Picoo is premium-only — there is no free tier. Pro is $19/month (or $12/month billed yearly) with 500 credits; Business is $49/month (or $35/month billed yearly) with 500 credits and team seats. A typical chat-sized edit costs 1 credit; a heavy multi-system build costs more; a generated 3D mesh costs 15. If you ship Roblox games — or bill clients for them — 200 credits covers a serious month of building. If you are just exploring, Picoo is deliberately not priced for you.
Why there is no free tier
In July 2026 Picoo removed its free tier entirely. The reasoning is simple economics plus product focus: every AI build costs real inference money, and a free tier meant subsidizing thousands of throwaway experiments while paying customers waited in the same queue. Premium-only means the people using Picoo are the people shipping with it — and the entire infrastructure budget serves them.
That is also a signal about who the product is for. Picoo is not a toy that spits out a wall of code to paste and pray over. It builds inside Roblox Studio — reads your live place, adapts expert-designed recipes to YOUR game, type-checks and lints every script before it lands.
What a credit actually buys
Credits are the usage unit. Real numbers, not marketing ones:
- Regular chat turn (edits, fixes, questions): 1 credit
- Heavy build turn (full system — combat, tycoon, shop — where the smarter model plans multi-script architecture): several credits, scaled to actual compute
- 3D mesh generation: 15 credits per mesh, imported into your Workspace with materials wired
- Big-place surcharge: turns that force re-reading a huge place cost extra credits — the price tracks the real compute, so nobody subsidizes anyone
Pro's 500 credits/month in practice: dozens of full system builds plus a month of iteration, or a mix of building and a handful of 3D meshes. Credits top up with one-time packs if you run out — packs never expire.
Pro vs Business
- Pro — $19/mo (or $12/mo billed yearly): 200 credits, Luau + 3D generation, game audit & scoring, priority queue, 5 games. The right plan for a solo dev or a small commission business.
- Business — $49/mo (or $35/mo billed yearly): 500 credits, everything in Pro, team seats, priority support, custom templates, unlimited games. The right plan for studios and teams shipping multiple titles.
Cancel anytime, one click. Yearly billing is ~37% cheaper.
The math for a working developer
The honest comparison is not "Picoo vs free" — it is Picoo vs your hours. A competent scripter bills $15-50/hour on commission marketplaces. A complete, anti-exploit-guarded shop system is an afternoon of work by hand. If Picoo saves you one afternoon a month, the yearly-Pro price ($12) has already paid for itself several times over. That is the entire premium thesis: the tool costs less than the first hour it saves.
Who should NOT buy Picoo
Honesty cuts both ways:
- You are learning Luau from zero. Use the free built-in Roblox Assistant first — Picoo assumes you know what a RemoteEvent is.
- You want a one-off snippet. A generic chatbot is fine for that; you do not need Studio-native building for a single function.
- You never open Roblox Studio. Picoo builds inside Studio. Without Studio, there is nothing for it to build into.
What you get that generic AI does not
- Builds land directly in the right services — ReplicatedStorage, ServerScriptService, StarterGui — not in a chat window
- Expert-designed recipes for combat, tycoons, shops, and boss fights, adapted to your place — not generated from scratch and hoped over
- Quality gates: every script is type-checked and linted before it touches your game; errors surface in chat, not in your game
- Game audit with a 0-100 score, and 3D mesh generation imported ready-to-use
